Ciardelli Fuel Company traces its beginning back to 1957 when its founding father, Earnest (Babe) Ciardelli’s entrepreneurial spirit got the best of him.

Babe financed his project by taking out a mortgage on his mother’s house on Nashua Street in Milford and along with his nephew Albert Eugene, “Chick” Ciardelli, they bought out a small local oil company and started the Ciardelli Fuel Company.

In 1957 “Chick” and “Babe” serviced six towns delivering 200,000 gallons of fuel, and they became known by their slogan “Chick and Babe, We're the Birds to Call.”

Today:

Today, Ciardelli Fuel Company has grown to over 20 employees who service 16 towns, and has just moved its operations into its new office located on the same property on Nashua Street, Milford.

Heather and Michael Ciardelli still manage the business but have let the day to day operations become the responsibility of their two son’s Matthew and Andrew.

Babe Ciardelli, with his 51 years of experience, is still a vital part of the day to day operations. The Ciardelli family maintains a three generation family business, and considers itself extremely lucky to also work together on a daily basis.
